Hidden Hills is a community in Escondido, California that offers many amenities and beautiful landscapes.

Hidden Hills is comprised of large single family homes and many have room for RV parking. Residents do not pay any Mello Roos fees or Home Owners Association dues. This community is served by the Escondido Union School District and the Escondido Union High School District. Students may attend facilities such as Rock Springs Elementary School, Del Dios Middle School, and Escondido High School. If you are interested in private schooling there are several schools in this area like Calvin Christian Elementary, Ascension Lutheran, St. Mary’s School, and Summerhill School. There are many higher learning facilities nearby such as Westminster Seminary California and California Pacific University.

This community is close to freeway access as well as Cal State University-San Marcos and the Palomar Medical Center. Around the area by Interstate 15 and the 78 Freeway are several shopping centers like Westfield North County, Escondido Village Mall Shopping Center, and Escondido Promenade.

There are many trails in this region as well as 15 parks in Escondido. Water recreation can be found at Lake Hodges, Lake San Marcos, and of course the beaches on the Pacific Ocean only a short drive away. There are many golf venues including the Vineyard at Escondido Golf Club, Eagle Crest Golf Course, and Reidy Creek Golf Course.

Escondido is one of San Diego County’s oldest cities and was incorporated in 1888. Its name means “hidden” in Spanish and is thought to refer to “hidden water” or “hidden treasure.” Top employers include the medical centers, the local school districts, the City of Escondido, and the North County Transit District. This is also the most recent home of the Stone Brewing Co.
